Established in 1992

Eric and Elaine Truong took the reins to Mandarin Gourmet almost 30 years ago with a desire to provide the community with an authentic look at family-style Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine on the Central Coast.

Mandarin Gourmet’s objectives have always been clear:

To provide fresh, made-to-order Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine to the Central Coast.

To be bastions of positive change within our tight-knit community through volunteer activities, donation drives, and outreach.

Now a little bit wiser (and a little bit older!) Eric and Elaine have won New Times Best of SLO county awards as “Best Chinese Food” over 10 years in a row and numerous accolades for their humble take on popular Szechuan, Hunan, and Vietnamese cuisine. Whether it’s a simple to-go order for a piping hot bowl of hot and sour soup or a 200-person catering event, Mandarin Gourmet is always ready to serve your needs.
